Sometime between April 24th and April 29th, depending on their Founder’s Pack, players will be able to start on the new European server. It is the third server to launch for Albion Online. This gives us the chance to not start unprepared on the Europe server.
Invest in Gold
At the beginning, the price of gold is set by Sandbox Interactive, and market orders are created for it. It will only be traded after the official launch, and only then will the price be determined by player supply and demand. The effect was huge on the Asia server. However, since it’s now a known phenomenon, it probably won’t last as long. In any case, try to invest your silver in gold within the first few hours, but keep a close eye on the market!
Stay Focused
Especially for complete newcomers, it’s exciting to check out all the game’s possibilities and try them out. There are many weapons, armors, and professions. But if you’re not careful, you can end up knowing a little bit of everything, but nothing well. Therefore, my tip for you is to focus on one profession and two weapons/classes. Once you have those at 100, you can start looking around. For professions, this applies to crafting; for gathering, you don’t necessarily need to limit yourself. Be sure to look at the weapons, their playstyles, and the corresponding gear beforehand; it will make the decision easier.
Better Together Than Alone
Albion Online is an MMORPG, which stands for Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game. Of course, you can play it alone, but it’s also a sandbox, not a themepark. You don’t experience a wonderfully staged story; you write your own. To ensure this story isn’t about a lone sheep being torn apart by wolf packs, join a guild. Your guild is your pack and will help you transform from a sheep into a wolf.
How about my guild, the Black Angels?
You Set Your Own Pace
At the start, the experienced veterans, in particular, will be rushing ahead at a high pace. Some have even taken time off work for the launch to upgrade their gear as quickly as possible and take advantage of the new start’s opportunities (like the aforementioned gold price). Feel like diving headfirst into the game? Go for it! Lack the time or motivation to invest many hours every day? That’s okay too!
Albion Online is a game and, like all games, is meant to be entertaining and fun. Don’t let yourself get stressed and play the game at your own pace. Of course, you won’t be at the very front for the first few weeks, but Albion Online isn’t a sprint; it’s a marathon. Once the fast starters have hit their limits, you can comfortably catch up to them.
See You in Albion!
I’m not a pro, but I have spent quite a few hours in the game. I would be happy to meet you in Albion Online.
