The second week is over. I didn’t lose much weight this week. On Monday evening, we drove to our parents’ and stayed in our old hometown until Sunday. Counting calories is difficult there, and so is working out. On top of that, you see both families and friends. Lunch at the parents’, dinner with friends. My birthday on Tuesday and the cake that came with it also haunted me for days. At least I got a lot of steps in, although they were tracked by my smartphone and not my Fitbit - so they might be inaccurate. And I only got on the scale occasionally, so there’s no weigh-in for every day. The one on Sunday was also in the evening, when I tend to be heavier.
Despite all that, I lost almost a kilo. It was shocking to realize how much I actually used to eat “before.” Thursday used to be the norm, just with snacks in between. Counting calories has definitely helped me become more aware of my diet.
